A Confederação Nacional da Indústria (CNI) projeta crescimento de 1,7% em 2024 para a economia do país. Os dados foram divulgados pela entidade nesta quinta-feira (14). A CNI também estima que o Produto Interno Bruto (PIB) cresça 3% este ano, mesmo nível registrado em 2022. Para a confederação, esse crescimento ainda não é suficiente para o início de um novo ciclo de desenvolvimento econômico.
“Grande destaque para o crescimento de 3% é o setor agropecuário”, explicou o gerente executivo de economia da CNI, Mário Sérgio Teles. “O grande crescimento da agropecuária vem do aumento da safra e também por uma redução de custos na agropecuária que aumenta o valor adicionado do setor”.

Segundo o documento produzido pela CNI, intitulado “Economia Brasileira 2023-2024”, a agropecuária deve registrar crescimento de 15,1%. O setor de serviços, 2,3%, enquanto o setor industrial deve apresentar o mesmo crescimento de 2022, 1,5%. O gerente executivo ainda aponta que, dentro da indústria, os maiores crescimentos previstos são da extrativa (7,1%) e serviços industriais de utilidade pública, como água e esgoto (5,5%). Por outro lado, a indústria de transformação (-0,7%) e de construção (-0,6%) registraram queda.

Outro ponto analisado pelo documento é a inflação. Nessa quarta-feira (13), o Banco Central reduziu a taxa de juros Selic, principal instrumento de controle inflacionário, para 11,75% ao ano. Para a CNI, mesmo com a redução, trata-se de uma política monetária muito “contracionista”, isto é, a taxa ainda não estimula tanto o crescimento econômico. Sobre o Índice Nacional de Preços ao Consumidor (IPCA), que demonstra a inflação no consumo, a expectativa é que seja mantida a queda inflacionária, com o índice atingindo 3,9% em 2024.
O presidente da Confederação, Ricardo Alban, acredita que fatores como uma economia sustentável são fundamentais para o país atingir o crescimento projetado pelo órgão. “O crescimento sustentado da economia está diretamente ligado ao aumento do investimento. E a agenda da economia verde, da sustentabilidade, da pesquisa e inovação, da transformação digital, indica o caminho para que o Brasil atraia indústrias e desenvolva infraestrutura para fazer a transição para uma economia de baixo carbono”, declarou.
